Dry Lease - A dry lease involves an airline taking an aircraft for a period of 2 to 5 years. The airline pays a monthly lease rate and maintenance reserves. The aircraft would be placed on the lessees AOC and they would be responsible for operating, maintaining and insuring the aircraft.
Lease/Purchase - At the end of lease term the airline then purchases the aircraft.
ACMI Lease - (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, Insurance) is usually a short-term lease to assist start up carriers or established airlines that require extra capacity to cover peak periods. |
